How information is used
This summary describes how the current public website separates general browsing and guidance from private case work.
Website and account information
The site may process account and contact details, order information, service status, and communications needed to provide the features a visitor chooses to use.
Temporary MEL conversation records
The typed MEL beta temporarily processes conversation text for session continuity, retry protection, troubleshooting, and safety review. Active MEL session memory expires after 24 hours. Raw conversation data in the active MEL service is automatically removed no later than seven days. OpenAI processing uses store=false.
Restricted disaster-recovery backups
Encrypted or otherwise access-restricted disaster-recovery backups maintained by our hosting providers may retain historical copies for the provider’s normal backup-retention period. These copies are not used for MEL training, QA, product improvement, analytics, or routine access and expire through normal backup rotation. Any restored environment containing MEL data must run the retention purge before application traffic is enabled.
Optional feedback transcript
“Include this conversation with my feedback” is off by default. If you select it, a bounded, de-identified/minimized copy is attached to your feedback for controlled human review and is scheduled for deletion from the active service after 180 days. Automated minimization reduces risk but may not remove every identifier. Restricted disaster-recovery copies may persist until normal backup rotation.
Improving MEL
The separate long-term improvement QA dataset is disabled for the initial beta. If an approved program is enabled later, material may enter it only with an approved explicit-consent basis and after de-identification/minimization. Minimized QA records are scheduled for deletion from the active service after 730 days. MEL does not learn autonomously from these records or change its own prompts, policy, knowledge, or product logic.
Voice is excluded
The initial homeowner beta is typed only. Voice controls, microphone audio, voice transcripts, and browser-initiated speech-provider traffic are excluded.
Case information
Property details, questionnaires, uploaded reports, and case-specific professional work belong in an authorized secure Review workflow only when access is available for an eligible service.
Before sharing information
Do not enter full addresses, private reports, medical records, precise property identifiers, or other sensitive case documents into the public MEL conversation, feedback, ordinary forms, or email.
